Origins is a collection of six contemporary figurative artworks exploring stillness, identity and transformation through expressive female portraiture.
Built around warm earth tones, sepia washes and fluid ink-inspired lines, the collection moves between abstraction and representation. Faces emerge from unfinished gestures, while visible lines, translucent washes and areas of untouched space become part of the composition.

FROM STILLNESS TO PRESENCE
Six works. One evolving gesture.
Origins was conceived as a visual progression.
It begins in stillness, with a figure turned inward, and gradually moves towards awareness, movement and presence. Across six works, the gaze shifts, the gesture opens and the figure becomes increasingly connected to the space beyond itself.
Yet nothing is ever completely resolved.
The unfinished line, the visible wash and the untouched paper remain throughout the collection — reminders that transformation does not require a final form.

A PALETTE DRAWN FROM EARTH
Warm sepia, ochre, brown and soft neutral tones form the visual language of Origins.
Rather than relying on colour for impact, the collection draws its character from contrast, transparency and gesture. Deep ink-inspired marks meet translucent washes and generous areas of warm negative space, creating artworks that can command attention without overwhelming an interior.
The palette gives Origins its distinctive versatility: expressive enough to stand alone, restrained enough to live naturally alongside wood, stone, linen and other organic materials.
